Main Beach
 Main Beach is a unique suburb between the sparkling blue waters of the Southport Broadwater and the magnificent Pacific Ocean. Only minutes north of the heart of Surfers Paradise, Main Beach is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. Tedder Avenue hosts several restaurants and boutique shops or visit the Surf Life Saving Club for a great meal overlooking the beach.
The beach itself is a wide expanse of golden sand and clear blue water. Surfers frequent Main Beach as even a small swell can create good waves for surfing. Surf or swim in safety at the patrolled beach, right outside the front door or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the water's edge or fish for bream and whiting from the beach.
During the weekend visit Tooleys or Manos Bar and Restaurant who provide meals and music to dance the night away.
 
Theme Parks
The Gold Coast is home to the best and most well known theme parks in Australia, from water parks to the Australian Outback Spectacular.
Seaworld is Australia's showcase Marine Wildlife Park. A visit to Seaworld promises to be the experience of a life time. See the Dolphin show, Sea Lion show, visit the Polar Bears, shark enclosure and the fabulous water skiing show. Take your bathers and swim the water park.
Seaworld also boasts many rides for all ages. Go for a wild ride on the Corkscrew Rollercoaster or catch a birds eye view of park and take the Sky High Skyway; just two of the many rides at Seaworld.
Dreamworld offers a day of fun and non stop action. Visit Tiger Island, which is home to the rare gold and white Bengal Tigers. Have a 3D experience in the IMAX theatre. With over 800 native animals the Australian Wildlife Experience is one of the most popular and interactive wildlife parks in the country. Experience the Big 5 Thrill rides or visit Wiggles World. Take your bathers along and visit Whitewater world
Movie World is the Gold Coast's answer to Hollywood and promises a fabulous day's entertainment for visitors. Take the Movie Magic Special Effects Show tour and learn the secrets behind the creation of special effects such as how a blue screen can make a man fly! The Police Academy Stunt Show is also a must see. Madness and mayhem is the best phrase to describe the Police Academy show! The laughs begin once you enter the stadium, and continue as the show progresses through spectacular high falls, and sensational car chases and smashes. There is also plenty of action for thrillseekers to be found in the rides at Movie World. Favourite rides amongst visitors include the Wild West Falls Adventure ride, the Lethal Weapon rollercoaster, and Batman Adventure- the ride 2. As well as the adrenalin pumping rides, there is loads of fun for younger visitors in Looney Tunes Village.

Nights and Entertainment
When the sun goes down on the Gold Coast, the night life revs into top gear! No matter what sort of entertainment you feel in the mood for, there's bound to be something for everyone.
Dine in one of the multitude of restaurants on the Gold Coast. Cavill Avenue Mall, Tedder Avenue, Marina Mirage, or Broadbeach to name just a few places, all have a wide variety and style of restaurants ranging from al fresco Italian, sumptuous Japanese, to the freshest locally caught seafood!
Feel like having a bet or two? Head off to Jupiters Casino at Broadbeach where you can play anything from the pokie machines through to roulette, craps, or blackjack! While you're at Jupiters, perhaps you might like to take in Zingara - a stage spectacular.
Want to do some clubbing while you're in town? Just a short distance from Beachside Tower will find you in the heart of the night time action! Shooters, Melbas, the Sugar Shack, Cocktails and Dreams, and the Drink nightclub are just a few of the popular clubs in Surfers Paradise that rock on well into the early hours. Of course, you can always head out to the Spit which is very close to Beachside Tower and party the night away at places like Saks, the Isobar, and Breakers Cocktail Lounge!

Adventure Activities
| The Gold Coast has many adventure activities for adrenalin junkies and for those of us who want to try something different.
Fancy the idea of being flung into the air or free falling? If so, then visit the Bungee Rocket and Flycoaster located near Beachside Tower. If you'd like to float over the Gold Coast in the early morning, then a hot air balloon tour is for you! Relax and enjoy the sites from above as you drift over the Gold Coast region.
The hinterland also has a range of adventure activities and tours. You can go abseiling down a rock face, hang gliding off a cliff, or maybe you would like to tour the hinterland on the back of a Harley!
Of course, there is a large amount of water based activities on the Gold Coast as well. Parasailing, jetskiing, catamaraning and yachting are just some of the fun activities that you can do while you are here on the Gold Coast. about the various activities.

Gold Coast Events
 There are a number of major events held on the Gold Coast throughout the year. The Australian Surf Life Saving Championships bring together the best surf lifesavers in Australia, and the competition is hotly contested! In addition to the Surf Life Saving Championship, there are Iron Man championships, and also the Billabong Pro Surf Carnival which offers a fantastic few days of surfing competition for beach fans.
The Magic Millions Carnival in March during Easter is also immensely popular with horse lovers and the racing set. The auctions see around a thousand thoroughbred horses bought and sold with the carnival culminating in the Magic Millions Race Day only 20 minutes away.
The Lexmark Indy 300 race during October 23rd to 26th is another highlight of the Gold Coast's event calendar! The cars race around and through the streets of Surfers Paradise and the city takes on a festive carnival atmosphere with plenty of action both on and off the track!
The Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in May is the country's leading import/export marine showcase in the Southern Hemisphere with more exhibitors than any other boat show in the country. The Sanctuary Cove Boat Show attracts visitors from both within Australia and the Asia-Pacific Region. A must for boating enthusiasts!
Bikie Week is also very popular in September where custom made bikes from all over Australia gather and display their bikes.
Big Day Out in January at Gold Coast Parklands gets a crowd of 50,000 fans coming together to celebrate a day of live music in the sun. A must do for any music fan.
Rock n Roll Festival possibly the world’s biggest festival – Queens Birthday June long weekend 99% all free. Dance in the streets, over 500 vintage cars in mint condition.
